About Me

My name is Samantha Bakas, you can call me Sam! My passion for photography started when I was a kid and turned to focus on photojournalism through high school and college. I truly believe in the power of an image to tell a story and express layered emotions.

Starting our family brought photography back into my life after some time away from the camera. My husband and I are the proud parents of the three rambunctious boys you see pictured here. As time whizzes by, I value photography even more - this photo in our backyard brings me right back to their little squeals as this hug turned to wrestling.

We live in Lake Forest and love our north shore community, schools, and friends. It also provides so many beautiful locations for photos - from the beaches to the many parks and trails. We feel lucky to live in such a supportive and naturally gorgeous place.
